Biography

Andrea was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her heritage is Italian and Amazonian; while living on the Island of Margarita in the Caribbean, Andrea spent the first eleven years of her life amongst the sandy beaches and magical sunsets. At the age of twelve she moved to the peripheries of Naples, Italy, to the small town where her "Nonna and Nonno" were raised. In Nola,  Andrea embraced her Italian roots, loving and blending the culture of her ancestors with the Latin American one. Andrea moved to the United States in October 2013. Since then she's encountered many difficulties from abandoning the Neurosurgery path to finding herself as an entrepreneur and CEO of a start up that focuses on empowering women through their hair.

Andrea was introduced to sports at a very early age, since she was six years old it has been competing agonistically. First in Swimming and Gymnastics, then horse riding and Tennis until, at the age of fifteen she fell in love with volleyball.  Starting later than her teammates, Andrea knew that if she wanted to compete at a higher level she needed to catch up, so she went everyday an hour earlier and left an hour later. She knew she wasn't the tallest, or the most skilled, all she knew is that she was resilient.

She can outwork anyone.

At the age of seventeen, Andrea signed her first professional contract with an Italian third division volleyball team. From the age of nineteen until the age of twenty-two, she played in Italy's second division.

Since the U.S.A. does not offer a professional indoor league, Andrea took on a new challenge, Beach Volleyball. Since 2016 she's put her mind and soul into being the best beach volleyball player she can be. Interlacing her personal goals of being a wife, an athlete and an entrepreneur, Andrea keeps improving herself as an individual, a friend and athlete.
